Our FDA-approved Fotona® laser, uses state-of-the-art

technology for laser skin resurfacing

The Fotona® laser allows us to improve the appearance of the skin's

texture and tone through laser skin resurfacing

Laser Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is an effective treatment to restore younger, tighter skin.  Using a special fractional handpiece, the Fotona laser ablates precise microchannels over just a fraction of the entire resurfacing area.  This is similar to the older Fraxel laser technology.

Fotona vs Fraxel Laser

The Fotona laser offers several advantages over Fraxel laser.  Although both lasers provide fractional laser resurfacing, the Fotona laser benefits include:

Speed- the Fotona fractional handpiece produces 81 microchannels in a single laser shot.  Combined with optimal frequencies, this high-speed technology shortens treatment times considerably.

Efficacy- Clinical studies have shown the laser produces sharp and precise microchannels with unmatched control of spot size and penetration depth

Safety- Because of its precision, the Fotona laser face treatment creates an optimal relationship between safe micro-ablation and coagulation, without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Comfort- Speed and precision provide patients with far more comfortable treatments than those of the late Fraxel laser.  Patient report treatments to be far more pleasant.

How does laser skin resurfacing work?

Fotona’s fractional handpiece vaporizes precise micron diameter channels over just a fraction of the laser resurfacing area.  This initiates a wound healing response which stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, resulting in tighter, younger skin with less downtime or the adverse effects of purely ablative procedures.

All-Natural Rejuvenation

Transform your skin by naturally stimulating your body's regenerative capacities using laser technology combined with platelet rich fibrin (PRF). At VIKARA, we take laser resurfacing one step further by using your own biology to further improve your skin.  By drawing blood, we are able to separate the platelets in a special centrifuge to create a liquid mixture with a high concentration of growth factors that help restore the skin by stimulating collagen and inhibiting melanin formation resulting in skin that is youthful-looking and glows.
