CHEMICAL PEELS

SIMPLE SOLUTIONS FOR AGING & DAMAGED SKIN

Are you tired of looking tired?

Do you want to get rid of blemishes and age spots on your skin?

Years of stress, anxiety, fear, depression, and poor habits accumulate as visible signs of aging on the face.  In addition, external factors like UV damage from the sun, pollution, and chemical exposure cause our skin to age prematurely making it look tired and stressed.

VIKARA facials and chemical peels, carefully conducted by our dedicated skin care specialists, are superb methods for restoring your skin’s smoothness. Peels are a contemporary method of significantly improving the rest of the surface of your skin and beautifying it to its original condition.

We offer two primary kinds of chemical peels, including:

Chemical peels for acne – If you are suffering from acne and acne scars, a chemical peel is a great option to help reduce the visible inflammation. It works to not merely smooth the skin on top, but completely eliminate the bacteria resting beneath the surface.

Chemical peels for wrinkles – Reduce the visible signs of aging like wrinkles, age spots, and dull skin with this chemical peel.  A specialized combination of ingredients is used to treat those tiny lines found around your mouth and eyes that develop over time.  This peel will gently reduce those creases, fade age-spots, and improve the damage caused by the sun's harmful rays.

5 THINGS TO AVOID AFTER A CHEMICAL PEEL

1. Picking at the skin

Picking off the dry skin instead of allowing it to shed naturally, can lead to scarring and extra redness.

2. Skipping sunscreen

It’s critical to protect skin from the sun's damaging UV rays at any time, but especially after a peel. It's best to avoid the sun for the first week or two, but if you can’t, then you should wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher applied half an hour before going outdoors.

3. Exfoliating

Although it can be tempting to exfoliate, it can cause more harm than good.  Exfoliating can remove the skin before it is ready leading to inadequate results and even scarring.

4. Not staying hydrated

Drink plenty of water.  One of the best things you can do for your skin is to keep it hydrated. This is especially true right after a peel and it’s true every day of your life.

5. Drinking excessive alcohol

While it is most likely fine to have a glass of wine or a cocktail, excessive alcohol can lead to dehydration depressing the immune system and making it harder for your face to heal.
